Subha – Hi Anjali, give us a brief overview about UCLAN?
Anjali – Hi Subha, The University of Central Lancashire in Preston was founded in 1828 as the Institution for the Diffusion of Knowledge. From state-of-the-art facilities and world class teaching and support to help undergraduate students succeed, to providing world-leading Astrophysics researchers with the opportunity to work with NASA and photograph the Sun, UCLAN has it all. UCLAN’s phenomenal rise asa global leader in education was affirmed with its inclusion in the 2010 QS World Rankings.UCLAN holds the distinction of being the ‘first modern university’ in the UK to gain this status.
Kanimozhi – What are the key USPs that set UCLAN apart from other universities in the UK?
Anjali – That’s a good question! Firstly, we are leaders in many subjects in the UK and have a legacy of over 186 years of top quality higher education in the UK at an affordable cost. UCLAN is well-connected by road and rail to other parts of the UK and is just two hours from London.
